Rescission of tax exempt status  

   Please be advised that the Colorado Division of Insurance have just notified us that effective 5/1/2005 the tax exempt status that was granted on surplus lines taxes for Native American Indian Tribes has been rescinded.
    If you have insured an entity of that kind since 5/1/2005 it is important that the surplus lines tax be paid.
